The UPVC True Union Foot Valve is a specialized check valve and strainer assembly installed at the bottom suction point of pump intake lines to maintain system prime and filter incoming liquid. Combining a true-union check valve body with an integrated bottom strainer screen, it prevents fluid from draining out of the suction pipe when the pump stops, ensuring immediate pump repriming upon restart. The removable lower strainer basket traps large debris, suspended solids, and foreign objects before they can enter and damage delicate pump impellers. Equipped with dual union ends, the entire assembly can be disconnected quickly for screen cleaning or valve maintenance without disturbing the suction riser.
